AZ Foundation for WomenThe Arizona Foundation for Women promotes philanthropy by and for women, funds model programs or new ideas, facilitates community collaboration and influences public policy so women and children can live free from fear in a just society.

The Foundation works to enhance the lives of women and children by investing in and promoting innovative solutions to such issues as domestic violence and child abuse prevention, economic self-sufficiency and self-esteem for young women.

The Foundation promotes innovative solutions to fulfill the unmet needs of Arizona’s women and children. We do this by partnering with the community to assure the Safety, Health and Economic security (SHE). The SHE Counts® initiative combines research, grant making and advocacy to meet the AFW mission.

AFW affects measurable change through the:

  • Mobilization of our power and passion
  • Promotion of philanthropy by individuals, corporations and foundations
  • Empowerment of victims to become not just survivors, but thrivers!
